Parosteal Lipoma with Hyperostosis -Two Cases Report-

Abstract

|
We have experienced two cases of adiposo-parosteal lipoma, which located on the adjacent periosteum of the tibia and the first metacarpus. They showed hyperostosis like a bony reaction mimicking the parosteal osteosarcoma or the osteochondroma. But, hyperostosis of the cases was limited on the cortex without connection with medullary canal. We reported these two cases because of it´s rarity, their sepcific MRI findings and complete healing with no local recurrence in one year after marginal excision.
